Zeeve ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Jose Ramirez as a sole-trader product via myzeeve.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. Data we collect

Account data — your email address and hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords).
Profile data — work history, education, skills, and other CV information you voluntarily enter.
Usage data — generated CVs, job-fit scores, Buddy chat messages, and interview prep sessions.
Payment data — we process payments via PayPal. We never store card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
Communications — feedback messages you send via the feedback form.

2. How we use your data

To provide and personalise the Zeeve service.
To process payments and manage your credit balance.
To send transactional emails (welcome, purchase confirmation, password reset).
To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

Anthropic — your profile data and job descriptions are sent to Claude (Anthropic's API) to generate CV content. Anthropic's API data is not used to train models.
PayPal — for payment processing.
Resend — for transactional emails.

4. Data retention

Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing support@myzeeve.com. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.

5. Cookies

We use a single httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to object to processing; and to data portability. Contact us at support@myzeeve.com to exercise any of these rights.

7. Security

Data is stored on Railway's infrastructure with encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. JWT tokens expire after 72 hours.
